Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy | BoostPay

  1.  Introduction 

    BoostPay was established in 2009 with the objective of delivering a tailored payroll service to clients and candidates, built on the Founders’ extensive experience of developing client relationships, great service and fully compliant payroll.

BoostPay are committed to conducting business according to ethical, professional and legal standards and in a fair, honest and transparent manner. The Company recognises the potential risk for bribery and corruption within the scope of this business and this policy is in place to demonstrate the organisation’s commitment to the prevention of such practices both internally, throughout the supply chain and other interested parties. 


  1. Definitions 

Bribery and corruption can be defined by the below actions. BoostPay has a zero tolerance approach to all these practices. 

  • The direct or indirect promise, offering or authorisation of anything of value 

  • The offer or receipt of any kickback, loan, fee, reward or other advantage 

  • The giving of aid, donations or voting designed to exert improper influence 

  • Payments for lavish or inappropriate entertainment or travel 

  • Favours including offers of employment 

  • Facilitation payments 

  • Inflated commissions 

  • Fake consultancy agreements 


  1. Management commitment 

The Company Directors and Management are committed to: 

  • Leading from the front by ensuring that ethical business practices are observed from the top down. 

  • Ensuring all company personnel are provided with training on the company policy so they can recognise the signs and take steps to avoid it. 

  • Providing a mechanism for all employees, subcontractors and any other stakeholders to report any suspicions of bribery and/or corruption in a confidential way. 

  • Utilising appropriate disciplinary action and other sanctions for violations of the policy and/or anti-bribery regulations. 

  • Analysing the business operations to identify the areas of risk an implementing appropriate control measures to prevent occurrence. 


  1. Implementation 

To help effectively achieve the commitment outlined by this policy, our management system supports the claims in this statement by implementing business practices including, but not limited to the following: 

  • Providing onboarding and refresher training to cover anti-bribery and corruption and ensure that all staff complete the modules in a timely manner. 

  • Providing a copy of this policy on the Company HR system and update it when any changes are made. 

  • Creating a mechanism for all employees and associated persons to keep accurate, detailed and up-to-date records of all corporate hospitality, entertainment or gifts accepted or offered. Details of what should be recorded can be found in the Anti-Bribery and Corruption Procedure

  • Monitoring employee expenses to identify any anomalies which may fall into the scope of this policy 

  • Monitoring and reviewing legislation changes to ensure the company remains compliant with all relevant legislation 

  • Ensuring a mechanism is in place to administer appropriate disciplinary action in the event of non-compliance with this policy. This may include reporting to the relevant authorities when deemed appropriate. These authorities include the Director of Public Prosecutions, Serious Fraud Office, Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office and the police.BoostPay will provide all necessary assistance to the relevant authorities in any subsequent prosecution 


  1. Communication, approval and review 

BoostPay is committed to communicating, engaging and consulting with our employees and ensuring that everybody is aware of their individual responsibilities and commitments in order toto help the business achieve its objectives and fulfil its obligations. 

This policy is communicated to all employees as part of the onboarding process and is available on the Company SharePoint as well as being available to all interested parties on the company website – www.boostpay.co.uk. 

This policy is approved by senior management and is reviewed annually to monitor its effectiveness and to ensure that it reflects changing needs and circumstances. This policy is effective immediately and supersedes all previous versions.
